Working Principle Of Smart Energy Meter​

The electronic smart meter is mainly composed of electronic components. Its working principle is to first sample the user's power supply voltage and current in real time, and then use a dedicated energy meter integrated circuit to process the sampled voltage and current signals, and convert them into The pulse output proportional to the electric energy is finally processed and controlled by the single chip microcomputer, and the pulse is displayed as the power consumption and output.

Smart energy meters use shunts or current transformers to turn current signals into small signals that can be used for electronic measurement, and use voltage divider resistors or voltage transformers to turn voltage signals into small signals that can be used for electronic measurement, and then use special electric energy measurement. The chip converts the analog signal from the voltage transformer and the current transformer into a digital signal, and performs digital integral operation on it, and then outputs a pulse signal whose frequency is proportional to the electric energy. The pulse signal is sent to the microcomputer for processing and then displayed by liquid crystal.

Smart Energy Meter Structure:
